Nokia is set to launch its N-Gage QD Silver Edition, which carries same feature set as the current game deck but with a sleek new look. Nokia says it chose silver for the new look because “it’s one of the season’s most fashionable colours”.
cheers!

lol
It looks f-all different to me, other than a few minor colour changes. Not even a slight shape change or anything, or even a bloody pop-port. Now that sucks.
Its really sad that their just trying to re-visalise a dead (not dieing, dead) format from 2 years ago.

idk...it evokes styling cues from the 80s...just nasty:(
They should have done more to it, like Daedalus said...if not some hardware upgrades then at least a faceplate revision...

it is called re-packaging... everybody does it, look at the PS2 silver edition, and now slim edition, or x-box with transparent blue plastic, or civic gold edition, or U2 ipod, SE K700 hello kitty edition, K700 spider man edition, blah, blah, blah...

PSP is one of the season's favourite devices, why not Nokia launch a new N-Gage? i dun think there will be anyone who will find themselves drooling for this .... 80s ... thing.

cool info!
.... there's rumours that this "next n-gage" has the wide screen of the 7710, all the features of the current 3G series 60's, surround sound speakers, a bumped-up processor, a 3D engine for gaming, and all new games. (I think they want to compete with the PSP?).
cheers!

I doubt it would have as big a screen as 7710, I think they will want to differentiate from PSP and Nintendo. Also, 3G I am not 100% sure (although leaning towards expecting it to be included) of as 3G is still not widespread and 3G phones are more expensive. Price point and profit margins are very important (at least so far Nokia has refused to sell these things with a loss unlike most game console manufacturers).
Pumped processor, 3D acceleration, landscape screen orientation, new games, online downloading and PC managemenent of games, N-Gage gamining on a range of S60 devices are all for sure.

Those would definitely be nice, although let's not get our hopes up yet;)
