i sell PDA phones for two years. DO NOT BUY ETEN PRODUCTS, seriously, they suck hard time. go only for those that were manufactured by HTC, or HP, or the new Palm Treo that runs on Windows Mobile. remind u again, ETEN, ANEXTEK, AVOID THEM.
However, Eten M500 is the only PDA phone that is confirmed to have WM 5.0 upgrade... (never use Eten product, no comment on their devices, :P)
I have read somewhere that K-Jam loudspeaker is quite poor, but the processor performance is quite good through the speed is very slow. BTW, Michael is suppose to have it, if possible, wait for his review.

Just dont buy it, i've sold 2 ETEN P300s when it was launched, they have very very serious problems with quality control, their products were all made of cheap parts. Alot of taiwanese manufacturers tend to practice this alot, they are quick to market products that match up with good specifications, large memories, fast processors large screens whatever, just all those specifications that could help market them. but they never manufacture devices that are of high quality, robust and reliable. they do not practice habits like the americans, europeans and japanese. (of course, there are exceptions, HTC, Asus Acer, these establish ones are quite ok, but again, compare their products to those of IBMs.. even if those from lenovo)
ok back to ETEN p500, i've asked my friends on the response and quality of the product, what do you know?! they've stop taking stocks. average 7 out of 10 came back for warranty in the first 3 months. lol
thanks guys
you have just saved me big bucks as i was about to order the eten
so now the hunt for a solid perfoming ppc phone goes on
The best PDA phones now would be i-mate JasJar/O2 XDA Exec/Qtek 9000/Orange SPV M500. Except for it's size, user comments on it are generally quite positive. For review, see http://davesipaq.com/articles/imate_jasjar_review.html
Some good PDA phones coming soon are the Palm Treo with Windows Mobile, HTC Atom and HTC Hermes (like HTC Wizrad, with 3G and 2.1Mpix camera). Lastly, HP should be have some new Mobile Messenger on WM 5.0 too (read about 2 devices, but these are rumour for now).

err....... all jasjar, imate, xda, qtek...... were all HTC oems .. :) given the choice, from my experience, i'd opt for Palm Treo Windows Mobile, or XDAs. :)
Yup, there are all HTC Universal, under different OEM names. I like the device, but it costs as much as my Notebook! :(
My choice now is the HTC Wizard, hope that it would be good... otherwise, just get a cheap PDA and stick a Motorola L6/L7 to it's back, :D
PS: commedecargons, do you have any "door road" (门路 ) to get the Universal with local warranty below S$1200?

oic, i googled it already.... i dun think so pal. it hadn't reached m'sia shores. Moreover, same as P910 and XDA IIi/s these highly sought after devices have very tight control, all vendors that carry them are not allowed to even sell to staffs at staff price. ....
I see... at least I get to save few hundred dollars, :D
Thanks.

right now I've got the imate JAM which is great, but I'm waiting for the o2 Atom to come out in a few months. Basically it's the JAM with upgraded WM5.0 and a 2MP camera. As far as I've heard the processor and RAM are the same though, but it'll come in black rather than this shiny aluminum that gets scratched every time you use it.
