Is that a camera on the front? If so, that'll be a 3G phone.

mmmm...... looks like they copied the 6680's design, one cam in front and one cam in the back.
Looking at the specs it aint that impressive though. Still no EDGE (funny, coz some of their other models have started to have it) and still no WiFi support too. The addition of a 2mp camera is a step in the right direction. And I think that that's UIQ 3.0 already? (I hope that now we can save sms directly to the mem card, and an 'exit app' command.)
I like the way it looks - sorta' like a "cleaned up" and uncluttered p910, cool.
cheers!

That would be any 3G phone's design.

nope, not necessarily.
The 6630 is a 3G phone, for example, when connected to that video stand accessory. And given SE's previous 3G designs, like the Z1010 and Z800i.... this is the first time they copied the 'one front one back' design.
cheers!

Nice they haven't fixed what isn;t broken. P910i appealed to all users from all walks of life....this should do the same... just hoping SE stick a really high res screen in for wow factor...

i wonder if this new P has the trusty jog dial, cant seem to see it in the front shot of the phone, an it seems that this addition might be slimmer then before..

2 mp triband mp3 ... looks like an incremental upgrade not the monster ive heard about.
that is still a little way off and reads like 3.2 mp autofocus and other goodies

Fair point Jayesh but if the imaging capability is on par with W800/K750 should be a stunner !

This is the P930/50, it is an incremental upgrade to the P900/10. It does have better specifications than the P900/10 obviously, but it isn't designed to be the absolute pinnacle of smartphone technology. The P1000 will be out next year and as far as we know it will be 'the killer smartphone'. The specifications we have for the P1000 include a 3.2 MP camera, GPS and Wi-Fi, you can read more about it here (http://www.se-nse.com/forum/showthread.php?t=847).
To the chap enquiring about EDGE, SE are focusing on 3G more than EDGE because they target their products primarily at Europe and Japan, neither of which use EDGE to any great extent. The SE handset, which do feature EDGE are usually designed for the American market.

Thanks for the info... so this not the p1000 after all. All this time, people thought that the "follow-up" phone to the p910 would be straight to the p1000, now there's a "middle phone" sortof.
Whether it's a good or bad move by SE remains to be seen. Some would probably not buy this and wait for the p1000, while some, would buy this as soon as it comes out.

Sigh, there goes SE again with their "target markets" and their regional preferences....... up to now people are still in the dark as to why the asian firmware of the (K-series) does not have a multi-char search, while the euro does. Forgive me for saying this - but I think that it's just STUPID of them to do so. They're marketing their products as "worldphones", ones that you can use ANYWHERE, yet they choose which region of the world they target their phones to? Sorry again, but I just find it stupid, stupid, stupid.
cheers!

the Jog dial was the worst feature to ever plague the P series! gimme a classic direction pad so i could navigate the menus like a human being!
and while they're at it, i hope they change the P900 looking buttons.

Well, SE certainly need to do something in this market sector. Although I guess they still don't have much competition* for the P910i in the Symbian market, I guess the real competition is HTC and all those clever Windows thingies they make.
*..yes I know Nokia have a lot of smartphones out, but nothing quite like the P910i!

@Marwan
well..a joystick or a directional pad is much better then a jogdial, but it did a great job for the P series, look at the directionl pad that is visible on the keypad,
i guess SE has finally listened to yer prayers,...
