i have had the 6681 for a while now. i have a problem with the device. it has happened about 3 times till now.

the fist time i was taking some pictures in the (sequence mode). all the 6 sequence pictures were damaged or (corrupted). after a while as i was taking some other pictures i found all my pictures in the gallery were corrupted then deleted+ all the programs installed on the memory card. not only the pictures were lost but also they still occupy their space on the memory card (the memory card is full but there are no pictures!!!) so i had to format the memory card. after a while as i was making some edit to the pictures with the photoeditor application, the same thing happened to me. all the pictures are deleted and they still occupy the space in the memory card. i dont know if this is a problem with the firmware or the memory card? (did anyone face this problem with rhe 6680 or the 6681 before?) (is there any firmware updates available out there that could fix such a problem. (mu firmware version is: v 3.10.6 date 11-04-05 . (RM-57). can i find any help out there...thanks alot>>>

Have you tried another card? It could just be that that card is defective...

If it happens to another card you try, then yeah...firmware update

no i didnt try another card. and i wont risk putting another card there.
if any one else have the same problem, so i guess it would be a firmware update that could solve it

another problem i have found with the 6681. it also deletes the messages. (i made the memory card as the directory for saving the messages). now i truly don't know if the problem is with the memory card or the phone's firmware. can anyone else confirm it ?

Why won't you just try another card? Better yet, go to a repair shop or a Nokia Care center if you don't want to risk anything:rolleyes:

i really dont want to put my 6630's card there. then i'll have to test it out there for more than a month and then at last i wont ve sure if the problem will happen again or not. and if it happened it would delete all my information on the card (i know i can backup the information and return it again). but this is alot of stuff to do and may be at the end i'm still not sure about the reason specially if it didn't happen (when it doesn't happen this doesn't mean that the problem has been with the memory card, may be it didn't happen and it will happen after a while). so by this way i think i willl be never sure about the cause of the problem. i only wanted to know if someone had the same problem or not. but anywayz i think i'll take it to the nokia care center... i guess the problem is with the firmware... :(
