Go for Nokia 6680 or 6681.
Its the Best till now.

I would go for 6680 sweet phone dual cam and also flash in rear camera is really cool when taking pictures in the dark.

If you want to go for a larger phone for the sake of a flash head for the 6680, ok pics just a bit to bulky moving from a 6230...

However the 6230i camera, screen and internal memory really are a vast improvement on the original 6230.....I'd personally plump for that...if heading 3G way 6630 is also a great phone feels firmer in use than the 6680 anyday...yet at the sacrifice of a forward facing camera...

If you want a smaller phone, stick with the Nokia 6230i. I have that phone and the screen is amazing. The camera is ok. If you are in for a smartphone I would get a 6630 as I think it is the same as the 6681, but now the prices have come down. If you need a 3G than go for the 6680.

Well, if you're gonna upsize anyways, might as well upsize and upgrade to the max...get the 6680, just in case you do plan on jumping on the 3G bandwagon...while the 6630 may also support 3G, it won't have the front-facing camera which may or may not be important to you.

If you're willing to wait, I would go for the newest S40 phones, the 6280, 6270, and the 6111. They're still pretty small sized, and you'll be sticking to something familiar. Plus, the first of the three would still have 3G if you're determined for it...

6680 according to me is shaping up to be a dark horse. Its very good with its screen and features and despite the various tests blah blah blah blah comparing it to 6630 still a speedy phone.

Its not got too many bugs and works fine both on wcdma ( mine just went to uk with my dad and came back. He used it on 3's network and found it ok enough ) and gsm

Its currently my primary workhorse.

ive seen the 6680 it looks great
only problem is the size its bigger than the 6230
i dont think getting the 6230i would be a good idea it jst looks like the same thing

does anyone know if any small nokia phone is coming out?

my other option is the sony ericsson k750i
that looks to be a sound phone!

You could possibly give a SE k750i a shot, since you have pretty much been happy with the Nokia 6230.

But I would still suggest, give one of the Nokia's 6230/6681/6680 a try. These are cool S60 phones and you could end up doing a lot with them.

You did mean 6630 instead of 6230 right?

I agree with him though...you could do a lot with an S60 phone...but then again, you might not. If you're not at all interested in entering the smartphone world, then the K750i would be a good bet...

If not, wait for the 3rd edition S40 phones...

It's a type of smartphone yes...

The 8800 would be an awesome upgrade...however you would lose the external MMC slot, if that's of any concern to you. I would say it's well worth the upgrade...the 6230i would be higher up than the 8800 in terms of features, but of course the 8800's got style and class:D

u should go with the 6680

about the 8800..my dad has it..and it really looks nice and Beautiful...but the problem is there s no MMC...
those 2 phones are the best now...like for me

If not having an MMC isn't a problem, go for the 8800...

If it does...more power to a 6680:D

Haha one that still uses MMC? Good luck...

I think the newest one that still uses regular sized MMC is 6230i and 6620 or N-Gage QD...not quite sure, but yeah, apparently Nokia favors DV RS-MMC/MMCmobile...

If you wanna advance in getting a new phone, sad to say but I think you're gonna have to leave your 512MB card behind:(
