I just called NokiaUSA Customer Care at 1-888-NOKIA-2U (1-888-665-4228) http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/N90/0,7747,feat:1,00.html and they said that the US version will be release in the beginning of the 4th quarter of this year. They are waiting on a provider to pick up the phone and they are est. the price to be around $700 - $750 USD.
I have also asked about the vibration factor and the many debates that have circulated on the net and they assured me that it will have vibration. This is coming straight from NOKIA!
Another interesting thing that they pointed out was that if anyone in the states were to purchase a overseas N90 from the net right now would have to ship there phone overseas in order to utilize there warranty. In other words, if you have a problem with the phone and need it fixed, you have to send it overseas to get it worked on. That would take several weeks plus the cost of sending and receiving the phone. Got to love it!!!
If anyone has any questions just call the number above to find out more.

Same here in Ph. Just like what i have told you before about my conversation with my local Nokia CSR. market price should not be that stiff. online stores put very high prices due to order shipping, import taxes, etc. because they are the one's who will be importing. not nokia - IMO.

i'm also annoyed by this but according to your site, the nokia usa, it has a vibration and upto now, they havent changed that specification in their website. IMO, features will differ in different continents. just like always.

Apparently, that holds true for all intertnational orders bro. ;)

D@MN IT! The people at Nokia don't even know there own product... I just called them to ask about the frequency and just out of curiosity I ask about vibration again… This time there answer was changed to NO. D@MN, they need to get all their departments on the same page!!! Sorry about the wrong info and getting anyone’s hopes up!
Anyways, the frequency for the N90 will be GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz. However, they did say that you can use Cingular as a provider because they do use 1900 MHz, but there will be times when you will be searching for a signal. It will first search for 900 MHz, and then works its way up to 1900 MHz. I’m not sure if that says much considering that they are not that reliable (as you can see from above.) Ha

It's a pity that they are giving out wrong info. Not surprised though, it never ceases to amaze me how badly informed most customer service people in the US are, regarless of the company or carrier/service provider.

Hehe right? I always feel like I have to dumb down my conversations with them cause I'm not sure if they'll understand or not...
In any case, I would expect T-Mobile to pick up this phone, considering Cingular's not gonna pick up a Eurasian triband phone when a good part of their coverage depends on 850MHz. I wonder about the price too...is the $750 gonna be subsidized or not? Cause I think Christmastime will be when I get my next phone...
The whole having to ship the phone overseas now has discouraged me to not wait and buy the phone ASAP....either that or wait till I win the phone from the raffle contest:p

I would not necessarily trust the morons working in the helpdesk to be correct about that "having to ship to Europe" to get the warranty either.. : )

Came back from some dealers today.
Some said they wont have the phone until next week, which is what they've been saying for weeks.
One store said its for sale only in NYC and for $1000. They can order it and offer it with contract for $800.

Why not the W800i? If you don't like the look, you can change the housings...
In any case, right now the N90's way too expensive, and plus, because they're important you're gonna have to deal with international warranties which NokiaUSA may or may not accept:rolleyes:
