Hi,
I've just been able to get my Hands on the 8800 and what a phone it is.
Just wondering what the coolest things people have found out about it are.
Would be interested to find out what any other owners have discovered.
Do we get any specific club nokia priviledges with it too?
Thanks
Dario

What I like;
- The camera although no mega-pixel has an outstanding quality
- The general design reminds me of the first glamour-phone ever made, the 8810
- The screen has fantastic contrast and brightness
- The accessories are second to none, especially the stand.
- The Battery life gets better after the first several full Charge/Discharge
- The sound of the speaker (ring tones) is quiet good.
What I do not like;
- There is nothing new about the software except it is that boring series 40 symbian, they could have made it a series 60...
- Instead of making these "crummy" looking 3D animations they could have designed nice icons for once. Clogging the software with that useless 3D engine is as stupid as you can go...
- The caller Group filtering does not work.
- The volume of the internal speaker (when talking) is too low, talking in loud environments is useless.
- The "e-mail" option on the "go to" menu magically reappears if you discard it, after you turn the 8800 off and on.
- After almost 8 years you think Nokia could have done something more interesting with those rancid, flat and outdated icons (the ones that go on top next to the time).
- Bluetooth is not very stable, well except for the SE T630 no phone is...
What I do not like;
- There is nothing new about the software except it is that boring series 40 symbian, they could have made it a series 60... S40 is not symbian. If it was S60 then it would probably be twice the size aswell.
The phone is premium, it doesn't need outstanding software features. I can't remember an 8 series phone that had ground breaking software. They have always been about the look and exclusivity.
- Instead of making these "crummy" looking 3D animations they could have designed nice icons for once. Clogging the software with that useless 3D engine is as stupid as you can go...Personal opinion. I think the UI looks great.
- The volume of the internal speaker (when talking) is too low, talking in loud environments is useless.I have no problems at all with it.

- Bluetooth is not very stable, well except for the SE T630 no phone is...Again no problems. Syncing with PC. Connected to my car kit, using my headset.
