I've Nokia 3120b phone in USA and I'm going to travel in India next 2 months. This phone supports 850Mhz, 1800Mhz and 1900Mhz frequencies. Will this phone work in India? (AndhraPradesh state)

While there are numerous carriers (as far as I can tell from GSMworld.com) that support 1800MHz, I would suggest getting one that also supports 900MHz...that way you can get the best coverage where ever you are...

dont bother in india with 1800. Coverage is extremely spotty except where there are a 3rd or 4th operator and those are newer and their coverage is not upto par. india is 95 percent 900 mhz territory
http://www.gsmworld.com/roaming/gsminfo/net_inbb.shtml <---- the only 1800 network there is hutch ( known as 3 in uk and orange otherwise )
U can see from the map the coverage is well not very great. My suggestion is to pick up a cheap cheap cell when u land here they can be had real cheap.
of course if u are near the capital the 1800 coverage is very good then . In the interiors no Guarantee

Have you restarted the phone multiple times, or tried the SIM card into another phone to check if it was the SIM or the phone? Yes, it could have something to do with why you don't have a signal...your phone could be defective, but if you're already there, then another reason you don't get a signal is because of the lack of the 900MHz band.
Since voicemail is a network-dependent features, you should check with the carrier...
