hi all,

i've just got a new nokia 6260 to replace my old 7200 this morning. now, i'll be honest, i'm hardly the most technically-minded person when it comes to phones... but they've never seemed so damn complicated before!

i'm using the same sim card and wanting to port over my contacts/texts/photos from the 7200, however the most luck i've had is dragging 17(??!) messages over via the 'move to' function - i'm really finding the manual a nightmare to understand. the phone hasn't come boxed with any cables with which to connect it to a pc, but there must be a simpler way surely?

if any of you fine folk can help i will be eternally grateful and not have to look like a complete prick in front of my work colleagues, all of whom are currently laughing at me for not being able to get the bastard thing to work!

To be honest, because the 7200 has no Bluetooth, the only way to connect is to either get the DKU-5 cable (which btw won't work with the 6260 either I don't think) or to get an infrared adaptor for you computer, if it already doesn't have that. Once you sync your 7200 with PC Suite (which you can download off the Nokia website) then sync that with your 6260 either through a DKU-2 cable or over Bluetooth, which you can get a Bluetooth dongle for your computer if it already doesn't have that as well...

Sorry it has to be this hard, but it's not easy going from a Series 40 to a Series 60 phone (the platforms FYI)...if anyone has more knowledgeable solutions please don't hesitate to post!!!
