I have never come accross this - I enter the unlock code
#pw+821061466274600+7# but nothing happens the code just remains on the screen.
This phone has just been repaired by vodaphone (the original was new and stopped working after half hour).
So have they installed a new version of SW that stops unlock codes working ?
or have i forgotten something ?

I was under the impression that only some version of 6230 F/W were unlockable and others had some box serials blocked, because mine worked first time with a certain code gen but friend's didn't, I changed the box serial and it worked fine. It is known Nokia blocked the main box serial about 2 years ago, I suspect this is where the rumour started. What do you think, Jacob?

Hi DEViANT,
Hmmmmm, tbh all phones are unlockable just not by code. I don't do alot of code unlocking, mainly direct unlocking. I've never heard of the problem nokita is talking about.
But I'm sure the 6230 is code unlockable.

I know they all are but some 'box serials' were blocked - I think 27760 or something like that. Anyway point is, all the ones I tried I unlocked, but some took a bit more work and effort - 6230s that is.

Yeah, could be alright. I can't really comment as I've gone into the more hardware side of mobile phone unlocking.
I actually find it quicker cable/clip unlocking than code unlocking.
