there is no software upgrage for this fone to make flip functional?

I might be wrong but from what I gather Samsung owns the rights for active flip and Panasonic opted not to pay Samsung therefore there is no active flip option on Panasonic Gx8x handsets. I could be wrong though what I wrote here was based on here say so perhaps someone who actually knows can clarify.

From what I know ...Motorola owns the rights for the active flip.
Every company that wants to design a model with active flip has to pay a standard amount of money in order to allow its free production...

I have no info on whether Samsung has such a right...

I originally also though Motorola owned the rights for active flip but have been told by many people that it was Samsung. Wasn't sure if there was just many misinformed people or not. I did some research and found out that infact there are many misinformed people out there. Motorola does own the patent for active flip. Next time I see that Samsung rep I am going to tell him that his Samsung propoganda is a little over the top lol.
