ineed unlock code for 3595-see info below-but i was wondering if itll be of use unlocked. right now i just swap sims w/my sidekick if i have to use the 3595. its a tmobile phone but has never been registered/activated and theres no known account as far as tmobile is concerned, so any benefit to unlocking it? if i do unlock it and not activate any service can i still swap sims? any hints help whaterev would be nice...also im curious about my sidekick..anyone know any codes/hacks/inside info lemme know. thanks again

Hey. Well the 5190 is a DCT3, not DCT4, but I can still unlock it :)


(edit) er, DCT3 unlokcking is a little tougher than DCT4. You need a 5 digit MCC+MNC code, yet my DCT4 unlocking says FIDO is 30200001 which is 8 digits, and it is a 6 digit number, 302370, here http://csoft.co.uk/cgi-bin2/coverage_list.pl?ISO=CA and http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/waforums/messageview.cfm?catid=17&threadid=32853. So if anyone else knows the MCCMNC for FIDO it would be very helpful...

The 3100 is a'ight. Does it's job, though the bowling game is a tad bit annoying (i can never seem to get a high score:D) Oh, I wouldnt recommend the 6230 on the sole reason that its only got a 128x128 screen! Its really too small. On that size the camera is VERY bad. So if you want a cool phone go for one with a huge screen! :D

Yes, this is simple to unlock and either myself or CD cover (heh heh heh, laughs manically :D ).

Well, I didn't think I'd have to post here but this is really annoying me. I just bought a ThreePay (3 network) Nokia 7600 mobile phone and I can't unlock the thing - as I need to run it Orange, if I can't get it done I'll have to take it back.

Anyway here are the details for it:

IMEI: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Network: 3 (Three)
MCC-MNC: *should be* 23420

Either way I've had 3 (!) errors so far and its still locked. Can anyone help out - perhaps there is a different type of lock here or the MCC-MNC code is different. Either way I need a hand - so anything is appreciated. Thanks.

Oh. Take the battery out then, and at the back of the phone there should be a label which has bar codes and the model number on it etc. Look for a 15 digit number which looks like xxxxxx/xx/xxxxxx/x and that should be your IMEI.

Oh. This is the first time somethings gone wrong, and well there are 7 codes, and you can only put in 5 wrong codes until it actually works...Im really sorry! And no, your phone is not screwed. The only way now to unlock it is to buy a cable, or to go to a shop and theyll do it for you. I'm really sorry again!

Well partly right and wrong. There are phones like the 1100, 8310, 6310 which are black and white, but still DCT4. I'm not too sure what the difference is between the two, but the recent Nokia phones are DCT4. However the communicators (9110/i 9210/i) are more like DCT3 than DCT4, quite unusual.

I managed to unlock my bro's 7250. I tried unlocking Nok 6100, it kept saying code error. I was later told by my other bro that it was already unlocked. What I want to know is why did it say 'Code Error' and not 'Already Unlocked' (or something)? That's what my sis' 3410 said when I tried to unlock an already unlocked phone. Have I messed up the 6100? Is something wrong with it?

Ah. A phone can only accept a certain code (or 7 certain codes.) Seeing as it is already unlocked there is no certain code, all codes entered would be wrong. No idea why it doesn't say 'Already Locked'. You havn't messed up the 6100, don't worry. It's got something to do with the software which is different in the 3410.

You can only key in 5 codes (different or the same) before it is unlockable without a cable.

Glad it worked. Yar, I tried once and it never worked, so I presume 3 have changed the MNC for the 7600 (like what At&t did with the 3650s). Really sorry.

I'm not too worried if I have been dudded, though I would like to exhaust all possibilites of unlocking the phone. If I enter the wrong code(s) will this destroy the phone? Is there an option of flashing the phone through its iR port ? Or some way similar.

Hey, nah no need to apologise. If you were to enter the wrong codes (5 wrong codes to be exact) you will not destroy the phone. It will, however, be impossibile to unlock it with a code and the only way after that would be with a cable. I don't think it is possible through Ir, though I may be wrong. Hopefully I was helpful.
