4 - IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity)
5 - MCC+MNC, GID1
6 - MCC+MNC, GID1, GID2
7 - All locks (Multilock)

Lock 7 opens all locks, but is not supported in all countries. In some countries, you must use lock 1. 2 v2 is a type 2 phone dongle version 2. Type 5 phones (still DCT4 )are phones like 3650 N-Gage etc.

If i were to guess I would say it is possible I can not see Nokia changing from DCT4 to 5.

If the 6600 is/does end up being DCT4 it does not matter which country you are from as long as you give them the country and provider it is locked too.

My 3650 has relocked itself because of 5 unsuccessful attempts at entering unlock codes.

The only way now is the cable unlock method. If anybody can be my "guiding light" as to howabouts I can acquire a cable/software to do it myself, it would be greatly appreciated along with any other info you may have.

you can get a data cable and download bwinlock to check if all the data you are putting forward is correct.....it would work out cheaper to take the phone to a local accessory store to have it unlocked now..

try a different network sim card in your phone first..
it could already unlocked...
get a data cable and bwinlock to read your phones information..

I believe just typing in code 7 will unlock all parts of the phone. Code 1 unlocks lock 1 which is usually the only locked code but some networks (i.e. Orange UK for one, I think) lock 1 and 3. So 7 is usually your best bet.

Regardless, when you type in a correct code, the phone will say 'sim restriction off' and reboot so you know its done something.

If you have entered that many codes then chances are you have lost all your attempts now...

You get 5 attempts at remote unlocking after that you require a cable to unlock the phone. It appears that you have used all your attempts either previously or entered the codes wrongly. Someone else on here had a 6310i they couldn't unlock using codes, I imagine you may have a similar situation.

Sorry, 5210e is DCT3 class so it can't be remote unlocked easily (there are algorithms but they are not available). You need a cable solution, which I can personally do but obviously that means I need the phone and is a little more tricky.

I don't know why that would happen. Now that you have typed in 7 codes incorrectly, I would presume that you have also used up your 5 chances at a remote unlock and now a cable solution may be all that is left. Can you check your MCC-MNC code? Virgin do have some weird ones. Best way is through Logomanager and IR I think.

Phew!

Right, just a few things.

1. Please do *not* put hyphens, slashes, etc. into your IMEI code, it is a pain in the ass
2. State at least your network carrier and country - preferably the real 5 digit MCC-MNC code
3. This is a Nokia DCT-4 thread so it would be nice if people did not ask about other phones in a Nokia forum in a Nokia thread
4. This is a free service therefore no liability is assumed by me; codes are checked over but you should check too and at the end of the day if it doesn't work you've lost nothing (and 99% of the time it does)
5. Don't type in someone else's code into your phone it won't work!
6. DO NOT type in all 7 codes if it doesn't work first time. You apparently get 5 shots at a remote unlock, try at most twice and preferably just the once. If still no, check the details you uploaded, and ask again. It is possible someone else may have tried a remote unlock unsuccessfully in the past on your phone, etc. - I don't know/can't tell. 'Code error' (usually means the code is wrong) or 'sim restriction cannot be undone' (usually means the 5 goes are up) are common errors.
7. Likewise DCT-3 cannot be unlocked (and it's a DCT-4 thread) so don't try and get codes generated here

To be honest, it doesn't matter what the model is usually, as long as it is not a Symbian OS model or specific Virgin UK ones.

My concern here is that being second-hand you can't tell what has been done to it before and the response code error usually implies that the code has been entered incorrectly or incorrectly more than 5 times in which case you can't do anything. I'll attempt to generate another lot (if it's the same as the last one then I think you'll need a cable):
