Make sure that the code ends in +1 not +7

Yes, it is possible that the phone is already unlocked.
If you have a friend with other network, borrow his SIM and try it on your phone.
I suggest you do that before putting any more code into your phone.

V1 codes, are for old mobiles, i cant evan remember 1 mobiel that will work on V1. V1 is repleased by V2

BUt nowdays, V2 are no longer good., especially dor imei start like. 355, 356, etc. so, what i suggest you to do..

give people codes
1. go to google
2. type DCT ASIC box serial
3. find list of mobiles and knowsn box serial already on the net.. there is a lot of file son this topic..
4. use that setting, not your familiar, because V1 is not good any more.
5. be happe to unlock mobiles
6. all users are happy
7. we are happy
8. we have less work to do

You only have 5 trys to get the phone unlocked, after the 5th wrong code the phone is hard locked. No way around getting it unlock but getting it cable unlocked like DEViANT told you already.

I have a cable that goes from my phone to the USB. Is there a program out there that works with the phone to repair it? Or, do I have to take it somewhere to get it done?

You can't hard unlock it via USB cable, www.phonexpo.net (http://www.phonexpo.net) can unlock it for you, try them.

We thought to start an unlocking post here in the Nokia forums. Simply post your Provider name (and country), IMEI, and Phone Model. An unlock code will be posted if it's possible in the thread.

Since this service is FREE, please do not ask repeatedly or PM the mods with questions. They will ignore you :)

Here is how to enter your code once you have it:

Power off phone and REMOVE SIM
Power phone back on without sim
Push #
Push * key 3 times (you will see p)
Push * key 4 times (you will see w)
Push * key 2 times (you will see a +)
Enter the 15 digit code
Push the * ket 2 times (you will see +)
Type the lock digit (this will typically be 7)
Push #
That's it - The phone should display "Phone restrictions off"

The Nokia 6630 and the 6680 are great phones but have a few problems if you buy a Three network badged version.

Most networks customise their phones to offer specific menu features in a way they like but most of them also withhold
certian menu features.

On most modern Nokia's there should be a network selection menu whereby you can search for new networks and select
which band the phone will operate on ie GSM or WCDMA.

Please note that from now on when I refer to WCDMA I am referring to the 3G network operated by Three and likewise
GSM will refer to the backup network used by Three which is O2.

Three have 'hidden' this menu and if you follow this path you will see what I mean;

1:menu
2:tools
3:settings
4:network
5:network mode

when you arrive at this point you will see that the only network mode available is 'Dual mode' but it is already preselected
and note it is over halfway down the screen. This is because there should be two other options available - GSM and WCDMA.
What I have available is a very small program (around 100k) which you upload and install on to your 6630/6680. The file is
in the .sis format and can be uploaded by Bluetooth, sent by email and downloaded as an attachment or installed using
Nokia PC Suite. When you run the program you get loads of other info about which cell you are using and signal strength
etc etc but we are only interested in one option which allows you to force the protocol between GSM and WCDMA.
You can now select between three options.

1:Dual mode - this is the default and will select between GSM and WCDMA and is dependent on signal/network availability with
a preference being given to WCDMA.

2:GSM - selecting this option will force the phone to use GSM at all times.

3:WCDMA - using this option will force the phone to use WCDMA at all timesWhich menu is best?

.If you are using Three and suffer from many dropped calls due to being located in an area with poor Three coverage then you
can select the GSM mode. If you have purchased a Three badged phone and had it unlocked by Three and wish to use another
SIM card you will still be forced to use a WCDMA (3G) network unless you select GSM mode as unlocking will not enable this
hidden menu.

.If you wish to force the phone for some reason to stay on WCDMA (3G) then you can select WCDMA and the phone will not then
handover to a GSM network.

nowdays, nokia operators looks on the forum too. and they see all the codes and infos that we have.. and they blackmail infos that we use and know about unlocking, some models. like 6610i, 6620, and others, are blackmailed by nokia and we dont know for sure about the setting, we manage to figure it out but if we keep posting it they will blackmail again and then we are ussless.. so if you want good unlocking , and that nokia doesnt know about codes and settings we use, post on my mail. i'll get you the codes...

I'M REALLY IN TROUBLE!!!!! :( (No .. don't say trouble .. I would call it .. MAD)

I lived in Germany .. where I bought myself a Nokia 6220 with a SIM of Vodafon (the Phone itself was/is from Vodafon) then I moved to Dubai ... where I've inserted .. not knowing that phone locks exist .. my Etisalat Card into my phone .. where the sim worked just fine .. for 5 days .. then it toled me that the Phone is restricted .. I'm really mad .. well I went to the net .. cuz I didn't know what that was supposed to mean .. "phone restriced" I surfed the net and found out that it could be unlocked with the IMEI .. which I can find by pressing the *#06# thing .. MY problem now is .. the phone has no IMEI .. it maybe once had .. but the screen shows like this

and in the back under tha bat the 15 digit code didn't work as an IMEI .. now I could use your help Cuz .. when I went to nokia ... THEY said it's non of thaeir business because it's frm Vodafon .. so they will not move a finge on that Phone .. now I'm asking you for help ..

should I .. still try unlocking it .. or should I through it away??

ok, IMEI was cracked because it says ??????. But under the battery it should be the NUMBER, what does it say? can you write all it say od put a picture of back of the phone to my mail. k.hideg@vip.hr

if there is no IMEI on the back, you can stil unlocy it usting a cable and computer.. so its not loss.

I'm sending a Picture Right a way .. but I don't think that the IMEI in the back works because of the locked IMEI in the phone itself .. maybe Vodafon even changed the IMEI by them self .. I mean befor they brought it to the marked ..
