hi all,
I have a Nokia 6230i, which I brought from Quatar about 3 weeks back. I stated using Bluetooth since few days back using one of my friend's Billionton USB Bluetooth dongle. When I used it on my Home PC which runs Windows XP Professional, with Nokia PC Suite 6.41,I was able to transfer files with out any problem. I have tried using the dongle at my office desktop which runs on Windows 2000, after installing the Billionton drivers, and it worked fine. But when I tried to use it on my Lap top, which runs on XP Home edition(SP2), first time the phone was identified, and I transferred some files, but after that, when I tried to connect, the connection breaks down after few seconds. The PC Suit identifies the phone and indicates it as connected, but fails to communicate, since the connection fails after initialization of any kind of activity. My phone has the PC under it's paired devices, and in under active devices it stays till the connection lasts and then disappears. What I can not understand is that which device has the problem. It could be the Bluetooth Dongle, it could be the phone or it could be the devices combination I use. I wonder whether anyone has experienced such connection failures in their 6230i. My Phone has the Firmware version 3.23. And please state whether passkeys affects only a Bluetooth session, or does it remain in the phone so that every time the phone is connected the same passkey is has to be given.
