hi, can i use this phone in the philippines? it has a tri band frequency of 850/1800/1900.....................but most phone in asia i research is 900/1800/1900.........what is the difference?.....thank you:)

yes, you can.
but dont be surprised if you have weak signal strength when you're using it, in the philippines - that phone is only single band.

Make sure though you get Smart, cause I think Globe uses 900 primarily. If I were you, I'd save myself the hassle and get a phone with 900...you'll get the best reception and you won't be missing out on service you could've taken advantage of...

We have strong signals here though. :)
Globe Telecom uses GSM 900/1800
Smart -900/1800
Digitel (Sun Cellular) - 1800
Innove/Islacom - 900 (this is a property of Globe now)
